Speaking during Sony's CES 2011 Press Conference, Sony president Kaz Hirai revealed new sales figures for the company's latest gaming device, the portable PlayStation Vita.
As of January 5th 500,000 Vita units have been sold in Japan, meaning an average of 25,000 units have been sold every day over the handheld's 20 days of availability.
That brings the total number of PlayStation devices sold over the holiday season to 6.5 million, Hirai revealed. That figure includes PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, PSP and PS Vita.
