The last game you were obsessed with?

Due to work commitments and other things I barely get a chance to enjoy a game for more than 30 minutes. As we all know that's not enough time to really sink your teeth into a game.
However on occasion I might find a game that I just can't put down, a game that I'll keep playing regardless of how much work and responsibilities keep piling up around me. It doesn't happen often but when it does I love it, it just pulls me out of that slump of "non-gaming" and makes me remember why I spend a small fortune of consoles, accessories and a custom PC for gaming.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's stuck in this situation, we all get older and other things unfortunately take priority.

So what was the last game that you just couldn't put down?

For me right now it's Deus Ex Human Revolution, I've had the game since launch and played it for a few minutes and left it alone. Last weekend I got back into it, took me about an hour to get my grove back for that game and now I'm obsessed with completing it. Before that it was Skyward Sword (that's been put on the back burner for now.

i don't know actually. I've been playing zelda in long 6 hour blocks at night but that's only every 2 weeks when i find the energy. WOuldn't call that obsession. I'm not sure there's been any games I've been obsessed with since minecraft. Nothing close atleast

im now addicted to Kingdoms of Amalur was addicted to saints row the third before that.. 30 hours on the xbox and 20 on steam for saints the third.. im only 16 hours in on KoA though but if i could play it RIGHT now i would be :)

hmmm obsessed... Gran Tursimo online, Killzone online... Gears 3 SP, Uncharted 2 & 3, Mass Effect 1 & 2 but tbh the only game I have really, an I mean really been obsessed with this generation would have to be Infamous 2, man that was a good game.

Different people have variations of obsessed. For me playing a game for 4 hours straight is classified as obsessed. I really shouldn't be doing anything for that long that doesn't produce money :P

the 6 hours till 3 /4 in the morning would normally be classed as obsession for me, but since the game is Skyward Sword(fricken amazing) and i only put a night per fortnight to play it, that's nowhere near enough. I think obsession has to do with how good the game is in comparison to how much you play. Atleast for me. eg. to play a Kinect game for more then an hour at a time would make you pretty obsessed

All the Uncharted games. Theses are the only game I have actually started and finished all in one play.... [yawn]

Games I use to keep going back to was Golden Eye multiplayers... hours and hours and hours and hours...you get the drift ... and Resistance 1 and 2 Multiplayer. I have spent millions of hours playing them.

But yeah these days I have no time at all which is depressing, as I really miss the days when I would sit and play all day. Damn you adulthood and parental obligations
