Hawks coming back against the saints by i think 50 odd points (possibly more can't remember exactly) in the early / mid 90's at waverly park and winning. That was a really good game to be at [MOG]

I was at the North vs Essendon game in which North led by like 68 points and then lost. 2001 I think. The crowd was messed up. It was just shocking. But when Essendon got rolling, holy cow! Forget Collingwood now. The MCG crumbled!

One of the things I like about going to a tigers game is the fact that the crowd often get the team up and running, we really need to come out and score quickly because as soon as the roar is up you can just sense it.

A fair few years back Swans vs North we were up by around 30 in the last quarter and we managed to lose, I don't think I'll forget that one easily. :'@

The game that haunts me. Since then I've always referred a big comeback in footy as "the Essendon comeback".

Thats because there's more afl teams to coverage in Vic. Poor excuse if you ask me. They rarely show, like 2sec highlights of other games been played. A mate I knew did get bashed, it was in northbridge

Where are you looking for coverage? TV news only has a few minutes per night for AFL, so obviously they'll focus on local teams.

Use online media for AFL news.

Yep.

Every Monday our news is flooded with footage of people fighting in Northbridge and police walking down the main street arresting people. It is our main clubbing district, but it is really bogan. All the clubs are really bogan. The place has a million strip-clubs and brothels. It is just a really terrible place and the violence there on the weekend is quite extreme.

I am a pretty big dude and people don't ever mess with me cause of my size (even though they could beat the shit out of me), but I can't go into Northbridge. The place scares the shit out of me, I've had friends bashed in there, I've seen women get knocked out, it is awful. I refuse to go in there and I refuse to let anybody go in there. The only time I ever go in there is for a concert, and thankfully that isn't often (usually only for Laneway festival or random gigs at Metros).

Haha it is bad but I've never had a problem there (tho cousin and his mate got attacked)...i still go there but still I don't let female friends walk the streets of north bridge alone and never will.

We have a few, Northbridge is just the major one. I don't mind clubbing but the clubs in Perth are just so full of bogans that I have no fun anymore.

I go out to work drinks most Fridays in some posh bar in the city and that is the most I go out drinking now. Getting so old :P
