I just had chucky come over this evening and after having had a good look at the Panasonic Q...I've decided to just give the other Panasonic Q to him, because it works perfectly, plus it can play USA games as well.
And for all the inconvenience I've caused, I've just said, "Stuff it! Keep the broken (internal hardware damage, it seems) Panasonic Q, because it's going to cost time and money to fix it and I can't be bothered doing all that"
You see, it's useless to me if it's broken, so chucky can do whatever he pleases with it (sell it, get it fixed, whatever).
I've also thrown in Official Nintendo GameCube component cables (valued at approx. $50-$100) for making him drive to the city.

Once again, chucky...apologies for all the inconvenience I've caused.

Yeah it is a shame that it is. Very unusual aswell. all the clips holding the dvd drive in place were broken. Never seen that happen before
