I thought we could have a universal thread on all things concerning HDTV's, from plasmas to lcds. Ask questions, offer advice, announce up coming TV's all in one place. Please don't troll though and maybe back up your info with some links or pics.

Also post what TV you use and for what, if someone else owns the same TV you might be able to help them with whatever enquires.

My current TV is a Panasonic GT30, will post a pic soon.

Last time I read about them it was only 10" and still in development in Japan...

I said it when myps3 started years ago that OLED is the future. Infact Sony, LG, and samsung are bringing them out 40inch+ next year.

Last time I read about them it was only 10" and still in development in Japan...

They're much bigger than 10" now, but they're still very pricey, and currently have a very limited 'sweet spot'.
Toshiba had 32" model, but you had to be sitting something like 45cm from the screen to be in the 'sweet spot'

It says it can be used for games, so it should be alright, but unless you are sitting right in front of it 24" wont go far!

I tried using one of my 24" screens for console gaming and it does the job but limits you to sitting close to it. All depends on how you have room setup, would work well enough for a small bedroom but would struggle if used in a large room.

atm WHEN I play in my room I have an old 68cm CRT widescreen TV and it's about half a metre away from my bed. I only have a small room.

I have realised it is a small setup, since I'll only be playing single player on it. I have the games room TV for split screen and the such.

But apart from the screen size, it's a good monitor?

Will work well for you then. The refresh rate is more than enough for console gaming, I like BenQ screens because they are exceptional value for money. I have 3 of them right now.
