Any Spin-Offs you've enjoyed?

I usually don't like spin-offs from the main series, there's a good saying that goes "If it aint broke don't fix it", however there are some spin-offs that are really fun and enjoyable despite straying from the traditional formula from the series.

A good example for me would be the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, Red Rescue Team pleasantly surprised me by being a fun dungeon crawler when I thought it would just be a average game.

So what about you guys? What Spin-off games/series have you you enjoyed?

Even all these years later, Pokémon Pinball is still one of the best pinball video games I have ever played... I would totally love to have that on my Nintendo 3DS!

I wonder what the odds are that we'll see it made available through the Virtual Console (though given the fact that it had a built-in Rumble Pak, it's pretty unikely...)?

It was good but gets a lot of hate because people expected it to be like previous SF games.

It's just a roguelike. Plenty of roguelikes around. For easy ones like Mystery Dungoeon, try Shiren the Wanderer or Izuna The Uneomployed Ninja on DS. Or try Brogue for PC.
